MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO: CAMPBELL TOWNSHIP TAXES. IF PAYING BY MAIL, PLEASE MAIL EARLY TO ENSURE DELIVERY. POSTMARKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. A DROP BOX IS AVAILABLE AT THE TOWNSHIP HALL. IF PAYING BY CASH PLEASE HAVE EXACT CURRENCY. THE TOWNSHIP OFFICE AT 331 S MAIN ST WILL BE OPEN DECEMBER 30, 2025 FROM 9:00-5:00PM, FEBRUARY 17, 2026 FROM 9:00-5:00PM, AND MARCH 2,, 2026 FROM 9:00-5:00PM. ALL OTHER TIMES BY APPOINTMENT.

TAXES DUE BY 2-17-26 TO PAY WITHOUT PENALTY, ON 2-18-26 A 0% PENALTY WILL BE ADDED. TAXES ARE STILL PAYABLE TO TWP UNTIL 03-02-26. ON 3-3-26 ALL UNPAID TAXES ARE PAYABLE TO IONIA CO TREAS & ARE SUBJ TO 4% ADMIN FEE, PLUS 1% MONTHLY INTEREST.

Deferment Notice

Campbell Township Treasurer in Ionia County is currently accepting applications for summer 2025 tax deferments (deferments are not exemptions). To qualify, a household annual income cannot exceed $40,000. The applicants(s) must also be

  1. 62 years of age or older, including the unmarried surviving spouse of a person who was 62 years or older at the time of death
  2. Paraplegic, hemiplegic, or quadriplegic
  3. Eligible Service person, Eligible veteran, Eligible widow or widower
  4. Blind person
  5. Totally and Permanently Disabled

Those that farm agricultural real property may also qualify if the gross receipts of agricultural or horticultural operations in the previous year (or the average gross receipts for such operations in the previous three years) are not less than the household income for the preceding calendar year or the combined household incomes in the previous year of the individual members of a limited liability company that owns the agricultural real property.

Deferments can only be filed and dated from 7-1-25 through 9-15-25. Deferments must be filed annually. Postmarks will not be accepted. Defers the due date of the SUMMER taxes without penalty or interest charges until February 16.

The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.  A copy of the budget is available at 331 S. Main St., Clarksville, Michigan

Summer 2024 Tax Collection Ongoing

Campbell Township is still collecting summer 2024 taxes while construction of the parking lot is taking place. If you are not able to drop your tax payment in the drop box during construction, it is recommended that you mail your tax payment. Asphalt is scheduled to be applied on September 16, the same day summer taxes are due without penalty. The Township will plan to be open that day, September 16, 2024, to collect taxes from 9:00 am to 5:00pm. We will have constituents park on the street, north side of the Fire barn. The Treasurer/Deputy Treasurer will be there to collect your payment. If raining, the parking may be available for parking as usual as asphalt will be rescheduled for another day.

THE TOWNSHIP OFFICE AT 331 S MAIN ST WILL BE OPEN MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2024, FROM 9:00-5:00PM. LAST DAY WITHOUT PENALTY IS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2024, FROM 9:00-5:00PM FOR SUMMER TAX COLLECTING. ALL OTHER TIMES BY APPOINTMENT IF NEEDED. PAYING BY MAIL IS ENCOURAGED. PLEASE MAIL TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE TO ENSURE DELIVERY A DROP BOX IS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE. POSTMARKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

ON 9/17/24 A 1% INTEREST PER MONTH WILL BE ADDED TO ANY UNPAID BALANCE. TAX MAY ALSO BE SUBJECT TO ADD’L 0% PENALTY ON 2/15/2025. TAXES WILL BE PAYABLE TO CAMPBELL TWP. TREAS. UNTIL 2/28/25. ON 3/3/25 THEY WILL BE PAYABLE TO IONIA CO. TREAS. ADD’L FEES WILL BE ADDED.
